Who can I send Canadian dollars (CAD) to?
You can send Canadian dollars (CAD) to any user using their email address (via NovoPay or Interac e-Transfer) or to any Canadian bank account (via NovoWire).
What information do I need about my recipient?
If you’re using NovoPay, you just need the recipient’s email address.
If you’re using NovoWire, you’ll need their full name and Canadian bank details (institute number, transit number, and account number). For specific requirements, check directly in the app when adding a recipient.
How much can I send?
There’s no limit when you send Canadian dollars using NovoPay. NovoWire supports Canadian bank transfers. For Interac e-Transfer, we offer a flexible cap.
How long does a money transfer take?
- NovoPay transfers are instant.

Are there any restrictions on sending in Canadian dollar (CAD)?
Using NovoWire, you can’t send to brokerages or intermediary banks. Transfers can only be sent to checking or savings accounts. Make sure the recipient’s account is in Canadian dollars (CAD), not Canadian-based USD accounts.
Is there any other information I need to know?
If you’re sending by Interac e-Transfer, your recipient will receive one email with a claim link and instructions. If they don’t claim the funds within 3 calendar days, the transfer will be refunded, and you’ll need to send it again.
